Plans & Billing
How SpecGraph subscription plans, SpecGraph Tokens (SGT), and usage billing work.
Plans & Billing
SpecGraph uses a token-based metering system to track and limit AI usage across your organization. Every AI-powered action — from generating a PRD to detecting conflicts — consumes SpecGraph Tokens (SGT). Organizations subscribe to a monthly plan that allocates a token budget, which resets at the start of each billing cycle.
Non-AI actions are always free. Viewing pages, commenting, voting on wishes, manually editing PRD sections, and managing team members never consume tokens.
How It Works
Admin assigns plan → Org receives SGT budget → Users trigger AI actions
→ Tokens reserved → Action runs → Actual cost settled
→ Balance updated → Reset on 1st of monthKey Sections
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Plans | The three subscription tiers and what each includes |
| SpecGraph Tokens (SGT) | How tokens are calculated, what actions cost, and the cost schedule |
| Usage & Monitoring | How to view your balance, consumption breakdown, and topup options |
Quick Facts
- Currency: SpecGraph Tokens (SGT) — 1 SGT ≈ 1,000 LLM tokens of AI compute
- Three tiers: Starter (500 SGT/month), Professional (1,000 SGT/month), Enterprise (2,000 SGT/month)
- Shared pool: All projects in your organization share the same monthly token budget
- No credit card: Subscriptions are admin-assigned. There is no payment gateway — billing is handled externally
- Hard limit: When tokens are exhausted, AI actions are blocked until the next reset or a topup. Non-AI features remain available
- Monthly reset: Token balance resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused tokens do not roll over
Checking Your Balance
Your current token balance is visible in the left sidebar at the bottom of the navigation — a color-coded progress bar shows how much of your monthly budget has been consumed. For a full breakdown, go to Settings → Billing.
